In Feb 2020, we received an inquiry about the lead covered copper tape 25*3mm, the customer need 3000meters of this product and the lead thicnkness is 2.0mm. Receive the Order for Lead covered copper tape
About one month later we offered, the customer asked us to update the price and send the proforma invoice. The client needs 25*3 copper tape, 1.5mm lead thickness of 1500meters and 2.0mm lead thickness of 1000 meters, both in 50 meters per roll.
We checked and found the copper and lead price changes a little, we can keep the price valid even after one month when we offered. Usually, the offer only valid for 3 days, the longest 7 days. Because the copper price changes frequently. We received the buyer’s purchase order only one day after we send the proforma invoice. When make the down payment, the client need us to provide the partner / proprietor ID copy, and we send as requested. Then after only 2 working days, we received the down payment.
As soon as we received the first payment, we start to buy the raw material for this order, because this type of products is not common in China, we will have to buy material when we get order.
We start to produce once we received the material. During the production, we send pictures and video slip to our customer so that they can know the production procedure very well. Though we said the delivery time is 60 days, we managed to finish production within around 50 days.
About one week before we finish the production, we asked the client to pay the balance so that we can booking the shipping in time. Unluckily, the client need the B/L copy to proceed the balance payment for their bank. This is against our sales agreement since we need full payment for the shipping. If we do not receive the full payment, how can we deliver the order to the forwarder and if we do not deliver, how can we get the B/L?
This was really a obstacle for the delivery, especially when we have finished the production and we can not receive the balance payment. Since the production is finished, we book the shipping little later and leave some time for the customer to make the balance payment. As for the bill of lading, since we have booked the shipping, we can ask the forwarder to prepare one bill of lading draft for the customer to confirm. And At last, we send the bill of laiding draft for the client to confirm, and the client used this bill of laiding for the bank to proceed the balance payment.
The balance payment problem solved as plan, and we received the payment soon. Finally, the order dispatched the day when we get the payment.
The whole order takes little long because of the payment, and we finnaly manage to solve this problem. All the rest goes well and we send all the documents to the customer, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin. The customer is satisfied with our products and service.
