ERCuAl-A3 Aluminum Bronze Welding Wire APPLICATION
ERCuAl-A3 Aluminum Bronze has a higher strength aluminum bronze used for joining and repair welding of similar compositions. Aluminum Bronze ERCuAl-A3 applications include bearing overlays, hydraulic pistons, impellers, turbine runners, press rams, steel mill rolls, ceiling machine mandrels, breaker blocks, valve seats and parts, mill slippers, and cable sheaves.
Aluminum Bronze A3, best for the high overlay welding requirement for hardness, resistance to wear, abrasion, and erosion.
Aluminum Bronze A3 contains a higher Iron (Fe) content than Aluminum Bronze A-2. The higher Iron content gives “A-3” greater strength when joining aluminum bronze castings of similar composition. “A-3” is often used for piston overlay and bearing surface applications which require higher strength, while maintaining good ductility.
