Open Link Anchor Chain Introduction
Studless link anchor chain, also called open link anchor chain, is often used for offshore moorings. Compared with stud link anchor chains, the studless link anchor chains have the features of less weight, being suitable for larger shackles without end links and the avoidance of stud loosing problems.
Open Link Anchor Chain is often used for offshore applications. When using Studless Link Anchor Chain there is almost no need to change the chain, because of no up and down use. Studless link anchor Chain is used for various ships including LNG-ships, LPG-ships, tankers, passenger boats, container ships, cargo ships, ships for transportation of vehicles, ferryboats, RORO-ships and so on.
Open link anchor Chain is also used for mooring purposes on semi-submersible oil rigs and mooring buoys. Studless Chain is accredited to the quality assurance system as per ISO 9001 and API Q1, as well as the environmental management system as per ISO 14001, and is authorized worldwide by international organizations and classification societies.
The studless link anchor chain is available in Grades R3, R3S, R4, Sizes Range from Ø6-50mm.
The open link chain can be supplied with certification from any of the major classification societies.
